Why combine

Everything is connected.

Prostate conditions, pelvic floor problems and erectile dysfunction are rarely isolated complaints. They reinforce each other. That is why we treat them together, not as separate pathways.

3
Treatment areas in one pathway: prostate, erection, pelvic floor

Physician from intake to final evaluation
40-60
Minutes per session, everything combined
How it works

From intake to treatment plan in four steps

No treatment without diagnostic foundation. No treatment plan without personal tailoring.

01
Medical intake & diagnostics
45 minutes with the physician. Medical history, IIEF-EF, EHS, SEP-2/3, cardiovascular screening, penile color Doppler on indication. We map the cause before making a plan. For a combined pathway, we preferably start the first treatment straight after the consultation. Allow approximately ninety minutes.
€180 · 45 min intake · approx. 90 min with first treatment
02
Personal treatment plan
Based on your diagnostics, the physician prepares a written treatment plan. Including indication, pathway, alternatives, costs and risks. Minimum 7 days reflection period.
Written · 7 days reflection period
03
Treatment (combined)
Shockwave and PRP are delivered within the same pathway, under the responsibility of the same physician. No referrals in between, no changing practitioners.
9-12 weeks active
04
Follow-up & monitoring
Outcome measurement at baseline and at 1, 3, 6 and 12 months. The same questionnaires, the same benchmarks. The physician remains responsible throughout the entire pathway.

Treatment details

Four pillars, one pathway

The combined treatment covers four pillars. The physician determines per patient which components are deployed.

Shockwave (Li-ESWT)

6-12
Sessions
25
Min per session

Focused acoustic waves at multiple locations. Without anaesthesia. You go home directly after the session.

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)

1-3
Sessions
30
Min per session

Autologous plasma with concentrated growth factors. Under local anaesthesia. The physician performs the injection personally.

Prostate treatment

6-12
Sessions
40-60
Min per session

The complete prostate treatment: infrared, electromagnetic therapy, prostate drainage and targeted shockwave. For men with chronic prostate conditions.

Pelvic floor & vascular

6-12
Sessions
25-40
Min per session

Electromagnetic chair (3 Tesla) and professional vacuum pump therapy. Strengthens the pelvic floor and trains the vascular mechanism.

Duration

How long does the pathway take?

Regenerative therapy takes time. The body builds new vascular tissue. That is not something that happens in one week.

Weeks active treatment phase
12
Months total monitoring with 4 measurement points

Combination with medication

What happens with your medication?

That depends on your situation. Some men stop their medication from day one. Others taper off gradually. The physician discusses what suits your situation.

Stop immediately

Many men choose to start without pills from day one. A clean slate, so you experience the treatment effect in its purest form. For mild to moderate conditions, this is often entirely possible.

Continue using

For more severe conditions, you can continue your medication during the pathway. Shockwave and PDE5 inhibitors work well together.

Gradual tapering

A middle ground: you start with your current medication and gradually taper off as the treatment takes effect. The physician monitors this based on your scores.

Renewed response

Men for whom PDE5 inhibitors had stopped working showed renewed response after shockwave therapy in studies. Sometimes the pill is not the problem, but the tissue underneath.

Comparison

Regenerative vs. symptomatic

Two fundamentally different approaches. One treats the symptom, the other aims to restore the cause.

Dimension
PRP / combined treatment
PDE5 inhibitors (medication)
Mechanism of action
Regenerative: stimulates tissue repair
Symptomatic: temporary vasodilation
Duration of effect
Potentially long-lasting (months to years)
4-36 hours per dose
Dependency
One-time pathway, no daily use
Continuous intake required
Side effects
Minimal (mild pain, bruising)
Headache, flushing, nasal congestion
Spontaneity
Structurally improves spontaneous erections
Requires planning and prior intake
Evidence level
Cautious evidence base, PRP experimental
Extensively proven, gold standard

Frequently asked questions

What men ask about the combined treatment

You discuss that with the physician at the intake. Many men choose to stop their PDE5 inhibitor from day one, so they experience the treatment effect in its purest form. Others taper off gradually. For more severe conditions, you can continue your medication. The physician advises based on your situation.
The active treatment phase lasts 9 to 12 weeks. After that, measurement points follow at 3, 6 and 12 months. The total monitoring pathway is 12 months.
The physician. After the medical intake, with questionnaires, screening and additional diagnostics on indication, the physician prepares a personal treatment plan. You receive this in writing, including alternatives, costs and risks. After that, you have a minimum 7-day reflection period.
Then we advise shockwave only. PRP is only added on selective indication and after extensive informed consent. We do not do more than necessary.

The first step towards
a new chapter.

The hardest step is the first one. Everything after that is easier than you think.

You are not alone. More than half of all men over 40 recognise this.
